Workshop Series in the design phase

At Art Is Not A Privilege we are here to learn how to unlearn what our brains have been filled with, in order to uncover out truth. Through a facilitated class, I will provide topics, history and mediums to explore our artistic expressions. We do not believe in allowing age, identity, ability to be a barrier to unlearning. If you are in need of accommodations, please contact us so that we can help.

Intentions of our sessions are to:

  1. Build Community

  2. Root yourself into the creative process

  3. Create and express yourself through art with no boundaries or expectations

  4. Discover yourself fully with support

  • ART AS PROTEST

  • Empowering your voice to speak out against the injustices. Working collectively towards liberation, where harm is limited and love fills us in our connections. Some of our explorations will look at Identity, Land Back, Black Lives Matter, Water is Life, Police Brutality, LGBTQIA2S+, Climate Impact, Censorship, Capitalism, Divestment.

  • HEALING THROUGH ART

    Art is a form of expression that does not need to be understood. We all have traumas in our lives and how we repair these connections severed by our traumas, impact the movement of our lives. No trauma is too small to work through. If left unattended the trauma will grow and grow till one day we are asking what is wrong with ourselves or choosing to ignore the pain. We are working towards building a collective community where harm reduction is a foundation and trauma acknowledgment is a must. We will explore many mediums and how you explore your traumas and what you share with us is up to you. This brave space will hold intentions as we explore together. You do not have to be alone to feel your way through.
